This shortbread is perhaps the easiest thing I have ever baked. It's so simple yet so comforting and delicious - give it a go!
You Will Need
- 4oz Softened Butter
- 2oz Golden caster sugar
- 6oz Plain flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla bean paste
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180oc.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in flour to form a dough.
- Press into a shallow 7 inch tin (greased).
- Use a fork to create a pattern of your choice then sprinkle with a little sugar and bake for 25 - 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Slice in the tin whilst still warm.
